This is a guide to help you make the most out of your sessions with us.
We offer suggestions and tips
that we've learned over the years.

Please be on time. Just as your time is valuable, so is ours. Also, allow time for the appointment which will include wardrobe changes, a location change, and proof viewing. YEA! You can choose to view your proofs as soon as the session is done.

too little...the lights will pale you.
too much...you will look too made-up and fake.
Bring it with you for touch-ups. Your proofs might have minor retouching but most likely, what you see in the mirror is what your proofs are going to look like. So if you are worried about a blemish, a little concealer might help. But remember... a little dab will do ya!

Do haircuts, perms, and colors at least a week before your appointment.
Be versatile. Be yourself in some and then updo or undo it for others.
Bring some accessories if you'd like to put it up.
Bring some hairspray if you'd like it to stay up.

Bring as many wardrobe changes as you like but remember...the more changes...the longer the session will take.
As a rule, bold and busy patterns take away from the focus of you unless that is what you are going for. Solids and subtle patterns are better.
If you have some tan lines, they are better left covered so leave your tank tops at home.
Shirts that are tight and shorter-sleeved will bring-out the shape of your arms and for some, that is unflattering. Tight shirts will also show tummys. And on the other hand, unfortunately, baggy went-out with the 80s. So be aware of your clothing fit unless you are going for a specific look.
Coordinate and dewrinkle. Families...you don't have to be exact clones of each other but do coordinate your colors.
Seniors, bring your favorite comfortable outfit, uncomfortable dressy outfit, school uniforms, and whatever else your parents want you to wear.

Bring as many props as you like
Examples - favorite hat, sports equipment, musical instrument, etc. Be creative
Coordinate. Match the prop with your clothes. If you bring your guitar, wear your favorite band t-shirt and slashed jeans. If you bring your favorite cowboy hat, bring the western wear to go with it.
You can even bring your car or motorcycle and we'll add that to our outdoor session. Don't forget to bring your leather jacket and chaps if it's a 2-wheeled prop.
Seniors, don't forget your cap, gown, class ring, and letter jacket. We do have some gowns in our studio but it might not be the right shade.

Bring a friend or loved one for suport or to photograph with you. But do remember, it's quite expensive to photoshop a person out.
Glasses - wear them...they are what makes you you! You can tilt them down to avoid glares.
Braces - yes, we can photoshop them out but this will take time and money. These are like glasses, they make you you and chronicle a time in your life.

We are flexible and open to any suggestions and ideas you have. Shop your favorite magazines for pose ideas and bring them with you to the session. We like to have fun and make the whole experience as painless as possible. After all...pictures are worth a thousand words!
